Some photos of a giant iguana that hangs around outside the buiding where I work. It would be cool to see it get eaten by the crocodile.

Clouds at sunset, and some rainbow photos. All except for the middle rainbow picture have been contrast enhanced. The rainbow did not actually look that brilliant, but the colors and secondary rainbow come out nicer when enhanced this way.

A moon (you'll have to guess which one). Also, clouds at sunset, rain falling over the bay, and a plane flying towards clouds. The moon has been edited. I cropped the photo, as well as artificially darkened the rest of the sky to make the moon stand out more. It was actually taken just before sunset. The two photos of rain have also been enhanced so the rain shafts stand out darker against the background.

Some sunsets, and a crocodile, in Miami. If in the future, you notice a lack of recent posts, it is safe to assume that I've been eaten.

A cat, plus some photos of Jay Peak, Vermont. They are not in order, but I bet you'll be able to figure out which is which.

Crepuscular rays, a bird on the beach, snow encrusted Cornell, sunset from an airplane, and multiple birds on the beach (I think the large one by the water is their leader). I am too lazy to further describe these pictures.

Stuff that is frozen. More specifically, a frozen lake, partially frozen waterfall and creek, and 100 ft long icicles, all at Cornell, where Hell literally freezes over.

Monday, August 08, 2005

The theme of tonight's post is blurry photos taken in the dark. The first one is a (poor quality) photo of vertical light pillars produced by artificial lighting in Ithaca, NY, on a cold evening. Then, a moon and some clouds over the snow-covered Cornell campus (nobody knows what it looks like without snow, as that has never occured). Next, a partially frozen river. Finally, a couple more photos of Cornell with snow.

Snow, in Ithaca, NY. Snow is falling in the 2 photos near sunset, and what looks like a sundog can be seen on the left of the bottom photo.

More photos of holes in stratus decks. It also appears that there are ice crystals falling from above (the direction from which things tend to fall) the clouds. Contrast has been enhanced.

Saturday, August 06, 2005

A couple of photos of an altostratus deck with a large hole in it, a zoomed in photo of the cloud elements, a photo of the plane's shadow on a cloud, and yet another photo of the ground (in this case it appears to be a system of mostly dry riverbeds). These were all taken near sunset, and were contrast enhanced.
